NOT A GOOD DAY AT ALL!
Well, most families get days like this
especially when you¡¦re reaching our sort of
age. I was telephoned by my brother in the
evening to say that my father had had a
relapse and was back in hospital again (he
had a heart attack last month). Apparently, it
has something to do with the strong
medication he is taking and a collection of
nasty stomach ulcers! Whatever it is though,
he is back in hospital and feeling very
depressed.
My brother, Steve and his wife, Rachael, went
round to see my mother and stay a few days.
At first, things looked not that good but he
seems to be making a slow recovery.
Back here in Suzhou I managed to lose my
bank cash card and the electric bike finally
decided to breathe its last and died in our
garage. WE now have to buy a new one....
and another 3,000 RMB will leave my
account!
It never rains... only pours!
